We thought we would take a break from posting about Europe for a bit because we just got back from another trip, this time to Florida, and wanted to share! We went down to visit my friend Mike and to relax at the beach; the trip started with a tour of the Cape.
Mike took us on a tour of the base after he got off work, this meant I had to drive us 40 min from his house on a separate base to the Cape where he works to meet him. This was pretty fun because I got to drive his Camaro but also because I hadn't driven manual in over a year, turns out driving manual is like riding a bike.

But back to the tour, Mike knows the ins and outs of most everything going on at the Cape. Everything building we drove past he had detailed information (of course full of acronyms the military loves so much) which cool to hear about rather than just driving past random stuff we didn't know what we were looking at.
We got to see active and retired launchpads, a rocket getting ready for launch, a lighthouse, the beach, wildlife and even where the transformers movie filmed some scenes. Take a look at some of the pictures below to see real rocket science in action!
