Probably not, while the meal was definitely good, there isn't much else to offer. But if you like blackened seafood, this is your kinda place.

Several people had recommended Nautical Spirits as having the best blackened seafood around. Luckily, we were able to sneak in a visit as our last meal before going to the airport.

They definitely specialize in blackened seafood; they even have a warning on the menu stating that the blackened season is pretty spicy and that if its too spicy for your liking, it can't be returned to the kitchen. This caused me much worry as I cannot handle a lot of heat. They did often a lightly blackened option, though, which I ultimately went with. I opted for more blackened grouper because Florida's grouper is just too good to pass up, and Brad opted for lightly blackened scallops. Turns out the lightly blackened was perfect, not too spicy but still plenty flavorful! Once again, the fish helping was very generous, two pieces! But there was a far smaller portion of scallops, but that's to be expected with scallop dishes. It was a great meal to end Florida with!

Would We Come Back?
Nah, the seafood wasn't good enough to overcome the blah sides.

Mike suggested to us that we try out Grills, a place that he enjoyed going to in the past. Again it was another place on the water with a deck, the perfect kind of restaurant for eating in Florida in my opinion. It turned out to be pretty tasty, my only regret was that I had a pretty bad headache the whole time we were there!

We started with a bowl of New England Clam Chowder, there wasn't anything too special about it but I still love clam chowder. I had the surf and turf, a lobster tail and a delmonico steak. My meal was well cooked and very flavorful, however, the side dishes fell flat. They were advertised as Caribbean Wild Rice and Tahiti Taters which to me sounds like they would be packed with island flavors, lots of bold seasoning and some spice. There was none of that...just generic sides that were meh.
