Being that Rosie is a sugar-oholic, we of course had to stop at a couple of bakeries. After our first lunch in town, we stopped at Highland Bakery, a place we just stumbled upon, and grabbed a few things as we headed to Ham Rong Mountain. I got coconut bread that was delicious! The bread itself was sweet and moist and the top and nooks and crannies were smothered with coconut. Rosie and Laura grabbed chocolate bread that they thought was lacking on the chocolate. Rosie and I returned here to pick up some coconut bread for the ride back to Hanoi. Unfortunately, after sitting a few hours, it wasn't as moist as it was when fresh.
On our last day, after seeing some waterfalls, we stopped at Baguette and Chocolat, a place I had found while researching. It kept popping up for a place to get desserts. I was hoping for a larger selection, but Brad and I shared a piece of mango mousse cake that was super tasty. Good flavor and a creamy texture!
