I LOVE pasta! Especially when it's freshly made. The chef at Il Corvo offers about 3 pastas daily at lunch time, each type of noodle homemade and prepared with fresh ingredients gathered from the market that morning. The little restaurant is only open until they run out of the pastas and our friend Blake said it's known for having lines of customers going out the door. In other words, this place is a delicious little gem!! It brought back memories of this small restaurant in Florence that my friends nicknamed 'Little Women', which had a menu that changed daily. Everything was always freshly made and it was damn good! Il Corvo was the first place back in the states that felt as fresh and delicious as that lovely little place in Italy.
Brad and I both got the snail-shaped pasta (can't remember the name of the noodle) that had mushrooms, cream, and parmesan cheese. It was soooo good!! It was the perfect balance of ingredients; it didn't feel to heavy, but was still substantial. The bites just melted away in my mouth and the spices offered a unique flavor to top everything off. Even with all of the seafood of the Pacific Northwest, this pasta was probably my favorite meal of the trip! I can't wait to go back and try more pastas!!
