I think in the end, after all the chowder we had in Seattle, that Ivar's is my favorite and Brad's too. It's the perfect consistency and flavor; it's the good ol' classic! It was always my mom's favorite too and always a stop we had to make when visiting the Seattle area. I remember when I was 5, (foolishly) feeding the seagulls right outside the Ivar's on the waterfront. My mom's grandfather supposedly knew Ivar as well, pretty cool! There are multiple locations throughout Seattle. We stopped at the waterfront and got a giant tub of chowder to share. And then we got it for breakfast at the airport on our day out. We also got a crab, egg, and cheese english muffin! Ivar's has and always will remain a special chowder part of my life!
