by Katherine ![]() Pike Place Chowder is probably the most well know chowder place in the market, and probably also the busiest. Good thing the line moves pretty quickly. This place offers 4 standard chowders and 4 specialty chowders, and the best part is you can get a sampler of 4 of any of them! And each cup is 6 oz. So prepare yourself; it's a lot of chowder! We all kinda regretted not sharing because there was so much, probably woulda been best to split 1 sampler between 2 people. Being that we were in seafood heaven, we of course had to get the seafood chowders. Brad and I each got the classic New England Clam Chowder, the Seafood Bisque, and the Seared Scallop Chowder. Then I got the Smoked Salmon Chowder and he got the Market Chowder (which was full of fresh seafood of the day). They were all pretty tasty, but we both decided that the New England was our favorite. I'd definitely say I've had better seafood bisques elsewhere and I wasn't a huge fan of the dill in the scallop one. However, the smoked salmon was quite unique bursting with that smokey flavor and the market chowder was probably our second favorite.

They were sooo good! If you're ever in Seattle you should try the chowders anywhere they are offered because there are so many and they all taste really different!
