by Katherine ![]() Since Sorrento was our base of operations, we spent a lot of time just strolling through the streets. The main part of town is not too big; we easily traversed all the downtown streets at least once. We passed shops allowing us to check out some art work and of course limoncello and many other lemon products. Just passing by the lemon trees around town was a sight to see. I loved seeing all of the beautiful flowers and old architecture of the narrow streets. We ate down on the water twice for dinner. The beaches aren't so great in Sorrento, but the water next to the cliffs is stunning...tho it is quite a walk down to the water and back. Thank goodness there was an elevator down to the ferry. My knee was very grateful! Below are some photos that we took from the ferry to Capri on our second day (the weather the first day prevented us from being outside on the ferry). Overall, Sorrento was a great place to stay and walk around.
