I really liked this hotel! The air conditioning worked amazingly, which I was so grateful for because it was really stinkin hot and humid in Bangkok. I actually got a heat rash there, something that's never happened before, so yeah, it was HOT! The hotel offered me a comfortable place to cool off and feel better. The atmosphere of the hostel also made it seem really fun and inviting. If we had stayed longer, this would have been a fun spot to meet other travelers. Only downside was that beyond the front desk, all of the other hang out spots did not have AC.
Location: 20 min walk to Khao San Rd, 30 min walk to major temples, a couple of blocks from the supposed best pad thai in Bangkok, area not overrun with tourists
Decor & Cleanliness: The room and lobby areas were very clean and modern. The bathroom was one of the cleanest we encountered; I even took the time to do some hand wash in the sink. Each room featured an animal and quotation on the wall; Laura was excited because she got the bunny room.
Comfort: We had a comfy king bed. Air conditioning worked well! Not too big of a room, but plenty of space to arrange our bags and to hang drying clothes.
Service: We needed to call our driver for the next day to confirm our trip, and the hotel was kind enough to let us use their phones and even make the call for us. The driver did not answer at that time, but he did call back and the hotel took the message. They also booked us a taxi back to the airport. The people at the front desk were not super friendly, but they did do what they needed to.
In-Room Features: Free wifi, safe, air conditioning, refrigerator, tv, soap and shampoo pumps in shower
